After

J E Putney & Sons were awarded the contract to carry out the restoration of the external façade of the great staircase. New Oak Riven Laths were fixed and 3 coat haired non-hydraulic lime was applied. Ashlar lines were formed to match the existing. Extensive renovations internally were carried out also, including renewing several ceilings, running new in situ cornice along with extensive making good works.
