Overview
BEFORE
- The church was 1st mentioned in 1212 and survived the great fire of London in 1666
- It was rebuilt between 1724 and 1729
- During the construction of the church, the foundations of the original anglo saxon church were discovered
- The organ which is located inside the church was installed in 1764
- It was granted grade 2 listed status in 1950
- Romantic poet John Keats was baptised in the church in 1795
AFTER
J E Putney & Sons were awarded the contract to carry out the restoration of the lime plastering works to the internal masonry walls throughout the church. 3 coat haired lime plaster was used to restore the churches original appearance.
