BEFORE

  • Construction was completed and opened in 1850.
  • Queen Victoria was one of the first passengers from KX.
  • Used for filming in the Harry Potter films.

DURING

J E Putney and Sons were awarded the contract to carry out the restoration of the old office buildings located between platforms 9-13.

New oak laths and 3 coats of lime haired plaster were applied to walls and ceilings throughout the listed section of the station.
